Alicia
Kokemor Rossow is not only an expert in the field of speech pathology, but she is
also the proud mother of two twin 13-year-old daughters. After attending
undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Texas Austin, Alicia
Kokemor Rossow chose to stay in the area and open a private practice in Round
Rock, Texas. Round Rock is north of Austin, so Alicia Kokemor Rossow and her
two daughters spend a great deal of time in the area. Keeping twin 13-year-olds
entertained is hard work, so Alicia Kokemor Rossow compiled a list of her top
three favorite places to bring her daughters in the Austin area.
·
Blue Hole – Georgetown is north
of Austin, and is a quiet little town with a small liberal arts college. Blue
hole, a small swimming hole, is a local favorite in the hot Texas summers and a
great place to bring the whole family. Often, Alicia Kokemor Rossow and her
daughters will pack a picnic and spend the day lounging around the swimming
area.
·
Botanical Gardens – The Austin
Botanical Gardens are a great place to spend an afternoon taking a leisurely
walk amongst a wide variety of plants and flowers. Alicia Kokemor Rossow and
her daughters are especially fond of the Rose Garden, which has lush grass
areas to lie in and soak up the beautiful surroundings.
·
IMAX Theater – The IMAX Theater in
downtown Austin is a great option if you need to get out of the heat. Alicia
Kokemor Rossow especially enjoys the feature films they screen, but her
daughters often attend the natural science educational films.
