Alicia Kokemor Rossow Holds Many Certifications

Alicia Kokemor Rossow, the owner of Advanced Pediatric Therapy, the private speech pathology practice in Round Rock, Texas, is a skilled and experienced clinician. Alicia Kokemor Rossow began her work in speech language pathology in 1992, upon earning her Master’s of Arts from the University of Austin, Texas. She quickly achieved her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association and began working. She worked in the public school systems and the private medical sector, serving both adults and children by helping them overcome their speech impairments.

Since she first became certified as an M.A., CCC-SLP, Alicia Kokemor Rossow has been garnering further awards and certifications, always striving to better herself so that she can provide the best help for her patients. That first year, she became certified as an Aural Habilitation Specialist, and then in 2000 she began a string of certifications. The first was her Clinical Certification for the TEACCH program, helping serve children with autism and related communication disorders. In 2005, she became certified by Hanen as a Parent Trainer and then in 2007 as a Hanen: “It Take Two to Talk” certified therapist, which focuses on improving communication for autistic children.  In 2009 she became certified in the Fast ForWord program and currently provides this intensive language-learning program at her office or as a consultant.

These achievements are more impressive for Alicia Kokemor Rossow as the majority of these certifications took place while she was raising her twin daughters and remaining active in the support of their school and their sports teams. Alicia Kokemor Rossow’s passion lies in working with children, and the work she carries out at Advanced Pediatric Therapy reflects this goal. Alicia Kokemor Rossow treats children as young as 14 months of age, and as old as 17 years. All children who have speech and language disorders are welcome at Alicia’s practice, and will find the help they need.
